Korean Fire Steak Cooking

  • 2 flank steaks, trimmed if necessary
  • 2/3 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 2 bunches green onions
  • 6 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 4 tbs sesame oil
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • freshly ground pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbs fresh ginger
  • 2 tbs toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • salt, to taste
  • 1 tbs chili garlic sauce, more to taste, if desire spicier
  • slice flank steak (against grain), and mix marinade.  Put marinade and sliced meat into Ziploc bag, massaging to distribute marinade throughout.  Refrigerate at least 2 hours.  Overnight, or 24 hours is great.
To cook:
  • broil, barbecue, cook on griddle, or stir fry. Fire Steak cooks quickly over any heat source. It's done when you think it is done.
  • plain, or over rice or noodles
