Korean Fire Steak Cooking |
- 2 flank steaks, trimmed if necessary
- 2/3 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
- 2 bunches green onions
- 6 garlic cloves, crushed
- 4 tbs sesame oil
- 2 tsp sugar
- freshly ground pepper, to taste
- 2 tbs fresh ginger
- 2 tbs toasted sesame seeds
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- salt, to taste
- 1 tbs chili garlic sauce, more to taste, if desire spicier
Thinly:
- slice flank steak (against grain), and mix marinade. Put marinade and sliced meat into Ziploc bag, massaging to distribute marinade throughout. Refrigerate at least 2 hours. Overnight, or 24 hours is great.
- broil, barbecue, cook on griddle, or stir fry. Fire Steak cooks quickly over any heat source. It's done when you think it is done.
Serve:
- plain, or over rice or noodles
